Diamonds in the Rough Horse Farm
is operated completely by a volunteer staff.
The primary purpose of this organization of dedicated members is to provide a safe, healthy and happy environment for two herds of horses in the St. Augustine area.
One of these herds is comprised mainly of permanently retired horses and most are in their late 20’s. These horses have rich backgrounds and many have equally grand bloodlines such as Secretariat, War Admiral, Alydar and Northern Dancer. The second herd’s members are younger and are being rehabilitated from physical and/or mental (behavioral) issues. Some were unfortunately neglected, others terribly mishandled. All are improving.
